American High TV Show

AMERICAN HIGH - TV SHOW OVERVIEW

"American High" is both a regional and a national TV series originally conceived by Dave Kelly, CEO of Dave Kelly Entertainment (see bio below), in conjunction with movie heartthrob Channing Tatum (GI Joe /21 Jump Street), who will be one of the Hollywood celebrity guests appearing on the show.

The "High" part of the program's title refers to both the High School audience that the show has been created for, and the positive and inspirational content that the show will be presenting, resulting in an encouraging and uplifting effect on the viewing audience, and also making it extremely "parent friendly", as well as worthy of local Print and TV News coverage; a fact that will further boost the fame of the local star's who are chosen to host the show. These hosts will use their own talents to interact in an entertaining manner with the featured local teens. The main focus of "American High" will be to follow the after-school activities of High School kids all over the country, covering multiple interests and activities, such as fashion, beauty, drama, technology, music, films, video games, sports, etc.

The real power of the show is in its cellular structure. There will also be a local version of "American High" produced in each of the top 60 American cities (see city list below) - "Vegas High", "Miami High", "Chicago High", etc. These shows will be thirty minutes long, and hosted by five local actors/entertainers of different ages and ethnicity, who will quickly become local and regional celebrities. A professional locally based TV production crew will be hired to produce the show in each of the 60 target cities. All local shows, "Vegas High", Miami High", etc will only air on their local Fox Network affiliate station, and will only be seen by those living within that city and its suburbs.

They will also be uploaded to the show's own YouTube Channel and made available for viewing by the public

American High, on the other hand, will be a sixty minute show that will air nationally. The majority of the content of this show will be selected from the best filmed segments that appeared on the 60 different local/regional shows the previous week. The national show will also have 5 actors hosting, but instead of hiring 5 new actors to handle this duty, we will give each city's hosts the opportunity to also host the national show at least once a year.

In addition, any local acting talent involved in a segment that originally appeared on their local show, and was later considered good enough to be used in the national show, will also be featured on the national show along with the chosen footage; giving each of the five local stars presenting their own city show, a second chance at national fame, enhancing further their alrady established regional fame.

To summarize: this is an amazing opportunity for 5 child actors (preferably 13-17 ) from each of the 60 cities listed below (or within a short distance of those cities), to be given a real chance at stardom. No platform has ever existed before, that offered so many young talents a chance to make their mark on a national level.

There is one caviat; the start of filming has been pushed forward to April 2015. Pre-Production and training will therefore have to begin March 2015. This, in turn, means that final casting choices will have to be decided by January 2015, at the very latest.

If you would like to be considered for one of these roles please waste no time in submitting a video audition tapes via email to -- americanhightvshow@gmail.com -- Include "American High Audition" in the Subject Box.

DAVE KELLY - Condensed Bio
Music Business

Dave Kelly began his music career as a recording artist for Apple Records, a label owned by the Beatles. Even though this was back in 1969, he was recently interviewed by the author of a new book about the Beatles “All Those Years Ago” . After the Beatles broke up, Dave was signed to Warner Brothers Records. He toured as the opening act for Genesis, Pink Floyd, ELO, Yes, Jethro Tull, Jimi Hendrix and The Who, among others. He came to America in the mid 70’s and immediately began working with Stevie Wonder, while Stevie was working on his multi-Grammy winning album “Songs in the Key of Life”.

After Dave’s wife and newborn son died tragically from Spinal Meningitis on Christmas Day 1980, he decided to concentrate on working behind the scenes of the entertainment business, and was quickly introduced to and hired by Bob Dylan. The best selling Bob Dylan biography “Behind the Shades ”, quotes Dave extensively regarding his time working for Dylan.

Over the years, Dave eventually managed every type of music related business, including record companies, music publishing companies, video production companies, talent management companies, booking agencies, recording studios as well as an International music, book and DVD distribution company.

Dave has also been responsible for booking and coordinating numerous International concert tours, including Asia, South America and Europe. Over the years, most of the major record companies, such as Warner Brothers, CBS/Sony, Polygram, Virgin, RCA and EMI have hired Dave as an outside consultant to help with the marketing of their artists.

Movie Business

Dave Kelly first ventured into the movie business when a friend asked him to be a business consultant on a new independent film that was just beginning production entitled “Chameleon Street”. Dave's client went on to win the ‘Grand Jury Prize’ at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival. As a result of receiving the number one spot, Paramount Pictures signed a three-picture deal with the director, Wendell Harris Jr.

Dave went on to manage the careers of numerous other up-and-coming actors, directors and screenwriters. One such actor was the Asian star John Cho who plays the part of Sulu in the latest Star Trek movies. Dave negotiated John's signing with the William Morris Agency, which very quickly turbo-charged his movie career. Dave was also responsible for discovering new movie heartthrob 'Channing Tatum' (GI Joe, etc) and was instrumental in Channing's move from Florida to Hollywood.

Dave has directed and produced countless music videos, as well as two one-hour TV specials; one for the BBC in England called “Hitmakers” which was picked up by MTV and turned into “Behind the Music”, and the other produced for both ABC TV in America and Nippon TV in Japan. Dave is currently the Executive Producer of an 8-Part PBS Series currently in pre-production called “The Secrets To Life”.

A European Hedge Fund chose Dave to represent all of their Hollywood investments due to his many contacts and broad experience in the business. In this capacity he met and negotiated with some of today’s most successful movie producers, such as:

Alan Ladd Jr. (produced Star Wars / Blade Runner / Braveheart)
Doug Wick (produced Gladiator / Memoirs of a Geisha/ The Great Gatsby)
Paula Weinstein (produced Analyze This/ Rumour Has It/ The Perfect Storm)
Al Ruddy (produced The Godfather / Million Dollar Baby)
Lauren Shuler Donner (produced You’ve Got Mail / X-Men/ The Wolverine)

Dave has also supervised contract negotiations with countless Hollywood companies, from the William Morris Agency and CAA Talent Agency to Sony Pictures and WB TV.

Dave has always had a great passion for discovering and promoting new, up-and-coming talent. To that end, Dave has secured the finance to produce two different TV series set to begin production early next year, one focusing on the teen market, and the other a music and movie celebrity driven entertainment show.
